KUWAIT CITY, Dec 26:  The tenth relief plane in Kuwait's airlift to Lebanon took off on Thursday morning, heading to Rafic Hariri International Airport. The flight is carrying nine tons of various food supplies as part of the "Kuwait by Your Side" campaign, organized by the International Mercy Society in coordination with the Ministries of Social Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Defense.

Dr. Adnan Al-Haddad, Deputy Director General for Communications, Marketing, and Information Technology Affairs at the International Mercy Society, spoke to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) before the plane's departure. He explained that this flight is part of the State of Kuwait's ongoing efforts to support and assist the Lebanese people, particularly in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions in Lebanon.

Al-Haddad emphasized that, alongside the efforts of official bodies, the aid is being delivered at a crucial time to assist displaced and affected Lebanese families. The aid includes essential food items such as rice, beans, various oils, baby milk, and other basic necessities.

He noted that Kuwait’s long-standing record of humanitarian work is exemplified by the establishment of the air bridge to Lebanon, which continues to carry significant amounts of aid. This initiative reflects the deep historical and humanitarian relations between the two countries. Al-Haddad also highlighted the society's ongoing commitment to providing urgent assistance worldwide, especially during times of crisis and disaster.

The International Mercy Society takes great pride in being part of this humanitarian air bridge, which is carried out under high directives and in cooperation with the Ministries of Social Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Defense. Al-Haddad stressed that the society remains committed to providing further aid whenever the opportunity arises to improve the living conditions of affected families.
