Lawyer sentenced to 10 years for real estate fraud

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13: The Criminal Court has upheld a 10-year prison sentence for a lawyer convicted in absentia of real estate fraud and the unlawful seizure of 3 million dinars from citizens. The ruling follows the lawyer’s extradition from abroad via Interpol, in connection with charges of fraud and money laundering linked to the sale of non-existent apartments within the country.
