KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: Ministry of Education Undersecretary Mansour Al-Daihani recently issued a decision on organizing the leave periods and attendance of employees in the ministry and educational districts. The decision stipulates that tardiness is calculated after 8:30 am; in addition to details about obtaining permission to leave during working hours, as the periods are determined based on the start and end hours.
Al-Daihani explained that permission to leave during working hours begins at 7:00 am and ends at 11:00 am, and the attendance periods are specified. For example, female employees are allowed to leave from 1:15 pm to 2:45 pm, while their male counterparts can leave from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. On the reduced working hours, he revealed the working hours are reduced for some categories, such as people with disabilities or those assigned in the Medical Council and Child Rights, clarifying that the concerned employee will not be affected by the grace period and other related procedures.
Meanwhile, employees who wish to amend their working hours must submit an official request, stating the reasons. The decision stipulates that the official working hours are from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm or until 3:00 pm in certain departments or entities. The decision covers all sectors of the ministry and the educational districts, excluding the employees assigned in schools. It also emphasizes the need to adhere to the conditions and procedures to ensure the smooth flow of work and achieve the highest level of organization.
