LOS ANGELES, Sept 27, (Agencies): Friends and family are commemorating the late actor Angus Cloud, sharing poignant memories from his final days. In a recent interview, Angus's mother, Lisa, offered a heartbreaking tribute to her son, recounting the tragic day she found him deceased from an overdose on July 31.

Lisa vividly remembers entering Angus's room in their Oakland, California, residence and discovering him slumped over at his desk. This occurrence wasn't unusual, she recalled, as Angus often fell asleep there while engrossed in late-night artistic endeavors. However, that fateful day proved different.

"I started shaking him and screaming," Lisa recounted. "I pushed him forcefully, and he tumbled to the floor. I attempted to resuscitate him—performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation—and applied chest compressions. I desperately called for my neighbor, reluctant to leave Angus and dial 911. I persisted until help arrived and they took him away."

Last week, a spokesperson from the Alameda County Coroner's office confirmed the cause of Angus's demise: "Angus Cloud passed away due to a lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and other substances, in an accidental overdose. Angus succumbed to acute intoxication resulting from the mixture of drugs, including benzodiazepine."

Lisa clarified, "Primarily, it was the central nervous system depressants. They began to slow his heart rate and breathing. He grew fatigued due to a lack of oxygen. Everything gradually decelerated, and eventually, his heart ceased, and he drifted into slumber. But he didn't take his own life."

She added, "He departed at the zenith of his strength, beauty, and influence. The outpouring of emotions from everyone is deeply touching. He wasn't merely an actor who succumbed to an overdose; he was a beautiful soul. That's why people miss him so profoundly... I miss him deeply. He was the love of my life."

Sam Levinson, the creator of "Euphoria," also shared his sentiments regarding the show's breakout star, revealing that he altered the storyline multiple times to keep Angus's character, the drug dealer Fezco, in the series for a longer duration.

"Originally, Angus was meant to meet his demise at the conclusion of the first season, but I held such an affection for him," Levinson disclosed. "He was exceptional. Sometimes, I prioritized actors over the show. So, I decided not to end his character because I believed it was something to look forward to."

A week before Angus's tragic passing, he, along with his mother and twin sisters, had traveled to Ireland to attend his father's funeral. Angus missed the actual service due to being inebriated, and while Lisa doesn't attribute her husband's death to her son's, she acknowledged that Angus was grappling with grief and finding it challenging to cope.

"He entered into these distressing moods, behaving uncharacteristically, and now I realize it was due to drug use," Lisa reflected. "I believe he harbored profound emotions, and at times, this world proved overwhelming for him, and he chose not to confront it. Was it the pressures of fame and the exploitation of those around him? Or was it the pain medications he took? I don't believe you can easily separate the two."
