KUWAIT CITY, Nov 7: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) reported during an inspection tour of the Shuwaikh Industrial Area by Kuwait’s Capital Governorate Municipality inspectors that 300 kilos of adulterated meat of unknown origin has been seized and destroyed, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The seized items included liver, hearts, tongues, and various other types of frozen meat that had been thawed and falsely sold as fresh. This action reflects the authority’s commitment to safeguarding public health by cracking down on the sale of unsafe or mislabeled food products. With this PAFN has emphasized its ongoing efforts to conduct regular inspections to protect consumers and ensure compliance with food safety standards.

Meanwhile, the Commercial Control Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry reported significant activity for October, closing nine shops and opening 20 new ones. According to the department’s statistics, emergency inspection teams recorded 515 seizure reports and identified 37 instances of license violations during the month.
