Madonna

LOS ANGELES, May 28: Tara Berry, a dedicated pop music enthusiast from Topeka, Kansas, has paid homage to her favorite artist, Madonna, in an extraordinary way - by adorning her body with a record-breaking 18 tattoos of the iconic singer.

This remarkable feat has earned Berry the prestigious title from the Guinness World Record for having the most tattoos of the same musician on the body (female), surpassing the previous record holder, Nikki Patterson from Britain, who boasted 15 tattoos of rapper Eminem.

Berry's journey into tattooing Madonna's likeness began in 2016 when she learned that the singer was seeking tattooed fans for a music video appearance. Despite missing the opportunity to be featured in the video, Berry's passion for Madonna continued to grow, leading her to embark on her unique tattoo project.

"Most of the tattoos were over six months. I already had two Madonna portrait tattoos when I read about the person that had the Guinness World Records title at that time with 15 Eminem tattoos," Berry revealed in an interview with Guinness World Records. "I decided that night I was going to go for the record and contacted the artist, and he said, 'What the hell, let's do this.'"

The collection of tattoos depicts various iconic images from Madonna's illustrious career, including a recreation of the famous kiss between Madonna and Britney Spears at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.

Berry, who proudly showcases her inked homage to Madonna, often receives requests from admirers to photograph and video her arms. "Many, many people ask if they can take pictures and video my arms. I'm happy to oblige," Berry remarked.

The dedication to her passion has come at a cost, with Berry estimating that the tattoos have set her back over $9,800. However, driven by her unwavering admiration for Madonna, Berry was determined to realize her vision, employing various means to finance the extensive tattoo project.

"I begged, borrowed, worked out deals, anything to move forward in the process," Berry shared, illustrating her commitment to commemorating her idol in a truly unique and enduring manner.
