KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: The Ministry of Interior, under the General Department of Criminal Investigations (Public Morals and Human Trafficking Department), has uncovered and dismantled what is believed to be the largest local liquor factory in the Abdali agricultural area. The operation, managed by a group of Asian nationals, served as a comprehensive center for the production and distribution of illicit alcohol.
After obtaining the necessary legal authorization, the authorities raided the site, leading to the arrest of the factory's operators. During the raid, investigators seized an extensive inventory of alcohol-producing items, including approximately 2,030 barrels of raw materials and 10,000 plastic bottles of locally manufactured alcohol ready for sale. Notably, the factory was found to be using a large swimming pool as a reservoir to collect distilled alcohol.
The accused individuals and the confiscated items have been referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that this operation reflects the ongoing efforts of the Criminal Security Sector to combat illegal activities with unwavering determination. The ministry reiterated its commitment to preserving society's security and safety by taking strict measures against violators and deterring those who threaten the country’s stability.
The public is urged to contact the Ministry of Interior's helpline at 112 in emergencies or to report suspicious activity.
