KUWAIT CITY, April 8: Public Works Minister Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan has announced the ongoing implementation of extensive maintenance work on the Fourth Ring Road as part of new comprehensive contracts for highway and arterial road upgrades.

Dr. Al-Mashaan emphasized the ministry's commitment to continuing road maintenance projects across all regions while strictly adhering to quality assurance and international standards. "Strategic infrastructure investment drives economic growth, enhances quality of life, and supports sustainable development," the minister stated.

On-site operations were detailed by Engineer Abdullah Al-Naqi, Supervisor of Project No. 11 covering the First Ring Road intersections with Third, Fourth, Fifth, and King Faisal Roads. Ministry teams are currently monitoring progress at the Fourth Ring Road/King Fahd Road flyover, where new contracts for complete roadway rehabilitation are being implemented.

The maintenance work involves:

- Application of specialized adhesive layers

- Installation of full-width "Type 3" surface courses

- Replacement of expansion joints
