WASHINGTON, Nov 19, (Agencies): A man in his 40s from Olympia, Washington, has been arrested and charged in connection with the disappearance of a couple who went missing on Monday. The Thurston County Sheriff's office announced the arrest on Friday evening, stating that, in collaboration with local, state, and federal partners, they had gathered evidence leading to the identification of a suspect in the couple's disappearance.

According to the press statement, the unnamed suspect will be held at Thurston County Jail, facing charges of one count of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree kidnapping. Tragically, law enforcement now believes that the missing couple, Karen Koep and her husband, known only as Davido, have met a grim fate.

"Throughout the investigation, we have been in contact with the family of the missing couple, and sadly, we do not believe the couple survived the attack at their residence," the statement from the sheriff's office revealed. Detectives, who have dedicated extensive efforts to the case, will provide additional information as it becomes available.

The couple, Karen Koep, a cherished chiropractor, and Davido, were initially reported missing under "suspicious" circumstances last Monday, as outlined in a news release by the sheriff's office. The arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the couple's disappearance.
