KUWAIT CITY, Sept 1: Dozens of marginal workers dodged a security checkpoint in Mutla’a recently. It has been reported that these marginal workers got out of cars transporting them towards Kuwait City when they noticed the checkpoint and they returned on foot over Mutla’a Bridge; indicating they were not carrying valid identification documents or had escaped from their sponsors to work in construction sites in the area, which is new and needs construction workers.
The sight of marginal workers on the streets in various areas remains a regrettable reality in the country. Despite the intensive security campaigns, many marginal laborers continue to engage in fraudulent activities and have mastered the ‘art’ of escaping from security authorities and hiding in different places.
