KUWAIT CITY, Jan 22: Horse enthusiasts are in for a treat as the first official Dressage Championship is set to take place on Marina Beach. The event will feature a series of four championships, including three show jumping competitions and a horse-taming championship.

The activities will kick off at 8:00 am next Saturday, offering four competition levels. Riders passionate about dressage—a foundational discipline in equestrianism—will showcase their skills in this thrilling event.

Sheikha Fajr Badr Al-Sabah, a prominent knight and organizer, highlighted the significance of hosting the championship on Marina Beach, marking a new milestone in the growth of the sport. She described it as a continuation of efforts to promote dressage through various championships held in recent years.

"We began horse taming several years ago, and we’ve had the privilege of organizing numerous events in different clubs with the support of Sheikh Sabah Mubarak Al-Sabah," said Sheikha Fajr. "What began as a dream has now flourished, with dressage gaining popularity in Kuwait. The first championship, held three years ago, saw just nine participants. Today, we are proud to host over 40 male and female riders.”

This championship is set to be an exciting event, celebrating the elegance and discipline of dressage while fostering its growth in Kuwait.
