Maximum penalty eyed for Kuwaiti citizen in murder of grandmother

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13: In the case filed against a Kuwaiti citizen for the alleged murder of his grandmother in Rumaithiya, the Public Prosecution, represented by Public Prosecutor Dalal Fadel Omar urged the Criminal Court to impose maximum penalty on the accused for his actions, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The Public Prosecution explained that there would be no leniency in applying the law to anyone who dares to take a life that is forbidden.

The evidence in this case formed a clear and undeniable foundation for conviction and left no room for doubt or interpretation. The accused’s unsound behavior and extreme cruelty were evident in the case. Furthermore, this crime was not just an attack on an individual, but an assault on fundamental human values and family bonds. It was not a murder carried out by an enemy or an opponent seeking revenge, but rather by a man who killed his own grandmother. In light of these circumstances, the Public Prosecution demanded the toughest penalty as a just punishment for the accused
