KUWAIT CITY, Feb 18: The Director of the Media Department at the Kuwait Football Association (KFA) and Head of the Media Committee for the First Gulf Cup for Veterans, Sattam Al-Sahli, confirmed the committee's readiness to support media professionals covering the tournament, which will be hosted in Kuwait from February 22 to 26.
Al-Sahli stated: "Preparations are in full swing to eliminate any challenges for media personnel and ensure that journalists and photographers have everything they need to cover the event smoothly."
The media committee has started processing accreditation requests for journalists and photographers through the KFA’s official website.
Dedicated media coordinators have been assigned to each match to facilitate coverage.
A special link will be provided for publishing match photos on the KFA’s official page on X (formerly Twitter).
Official statements and tournament updates will also be shared via KFA’s social media channels, with notifications sent to all registered media outlets.
Al-Sahli announced that a press conference will be held on Friday, featuring the coaches of the participating teams, where they will discuss team preparations and expectations for the competition.
He emphasized that the Kuwait Football Association is working diligently to ensure the tournament’s organizational, technical, and public success, following the initiative of the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi. This effort builds on Kuwait’s successful hosting of the 26th Gulf Championship.
The Saudi delegation arrived on Tuesday.
The Yemeni team arrived earlier on Sunday.
The Iraqi delegation is expected to land in Kuwait today (Wednesday).
The First Gulf Cup for Veterans promises to be a well-organized and exciting event, with strong media coverage ensuring extensive regional and international visibility.
