KUWAIT CITY, Nov 4: Argentine coach Patricio Melinic, head trainer at the Kuwait Equestrian Club, affirmed Kuwait’s potential to advance its equestrian sport each year. He noted that the quality of equestrianism in Kuwait is steadily rising and that the club’s training staff is well-equipped to further elevate and promote the sport locally.

Melinic shared that he was invited by international rider Ali Al-Kharafi to join the Kuwait Equestrian Club, as they share the same vision and goals for the club’s development.

Reflecting on his background, Melinic said, "I began riding at a young age in Argentina, competing in both local and international championships. My most memorable event was participating in the Longines Global Champions Tour in Miami."

He praised rider Ali Al-Kharafi’s Olympic-level skills and competitive horses, highlighting Al-Kharafi’s potential to challenge the top riders in the Middle East and Europe. Melinic added that equestrian clubs in Kuwait are well-equipped, offering excellent facilities and services that allow riders to pursue their specific goals.

According to Melinic, the Kuwait Equestrian Club stands out as Kuwait’s leading equestrian institution. It features a large, specialized academy that offers riding lessons for children as young as four, as well as advanced training for those aiming to master jumping. The club also boasts a roster of top riders who represent Kuwait nationally and internationally.
