KUWAIT CITY, Dec 11: The Chairman of Messila Equestrian Club, Bader Al-Mailem, highlighted the club's significant role in shaping Kuwaiti equestrianism since its establishment in 2004. Over the past two decades, the club has nurtured generations of skilled riders under the guidance of distinguished Arab and European trainers. Many of these riders continue to excel and are recognized as prominent figures in Kuwait's equestrian community, contributing to the club’s enduring success alongside other equestrian institutions in the country.
Al-Mailem noted that the club supports a diverse group of male and female riders across beginner and intermediate levels, backed by a team of experienced riders. This structure facilitates the development of future generations who will carry forward the legacy of equestrianism in Kuwait.
He emphasized that the numerous local and international championships hosted in Kuwait play a vital role in enhancing riders' technical skills and sustaining their passion for the sport. Al-Mailem praised the country's abundance of equestrian clubs and training centers, which have inspired many to embrace equestrianism, particularly show jumping. He added that Kuwait is home to champions who have achieved international acclaim, winning medals and bringing honor to the nation.
The primary mission of Messila Club, Al-Mailem explained, is to teach children the art of equestrianism while preserving this noble sport, which offers numerous physical and mental benefits to its participants.
