KUWAIT CITY, March 20: The Meteorology Department has forecasted that Kuwait will be affected by a deepening surface low-pressure system, coinciding with an upper atmospheric low, leading to increased cloud cover and scattered rainfall. The rain, which will vary in intensity from light to moderate, is expected to continue intermittently until Saturday evening, with the possibility of thunderstorms and heavy downpours in some areas.
According to Dharar Al-Ali, the acting director of the department, the peak of the rainfall is anticipated from Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon. Southerly winds, active today and tomorrow, are likely to cause dust storms and reduced horizontal visibility, particularly in open areas, along with high sea waves.
Al-Ali added that weather conditions will gradually improve starting from midnight on Saturday, with a decrease in cloud cover and rainfall. However, there is a chance of fog formation on Sunday morning, especially in coastal regions.
