‘Interior’ set to appoint new assistant undersecretaries
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 20: The Ministry of Electricity and Water resumes Monday the examination of applicants to 15 supervisory posts including some department director positions, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting informed sources. Sources revealed that 583 employees applied for these supervisory jobs, affirming these employees have fulfilled the conditions as per the regulations of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
Sources said 115 employees are vying for the post of director in Planning and Follow-up Department in the Power and Water Distillation Stations Sector, 108 employees for the Planning and Follow-up Department director’s post in the Electrical Transmission Networks, 110 for the Planning and Studies Department director’s post in the Control Centers Unit in the Control Monitoring Sector, 35 for the Public Relations and Citizen Service Department director’s post in the Undersecretary Sector, and 27 for the Computer Control Department director’s position in the Observation Sector.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior will soon appoint new assistant undersecretaries – all of whom are currently serving as directors general, in addition to the appointment of new general managers, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a source from the security sector. In an exclusive statement to the daily, the source affirmed that the appointment of new assistant undersecretaries is in line with the ministry’s commitment to fill up vacancies; especially after the appointment of Major General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawwaf as head of the State Security Department.
After consulting and coordinating with Undersecretary of the ministry Lieutenant General Issam Al-Naham, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh will submit the list of nominees to the assistant undersecretary positions to the Cabinet for the approval of their appointment.
The rank of these nominees is major general, the source added. In the meantime, the Investment Projects Department at the Ministry of Interior announced the launching of bidding for companies specialized in delivery service to submit their financial and technical offers for the delivery of driving licenses and travel documents to homes or work places, reports Al-Anba daily.
The ministry called on companies or institutions specialized in delivery service for a period of not less than three years and intend to participate in the bidding to visit the Investment Projects Department in the Ministry of Interior building in Sharq during official working hours, starting from Sunday.
