MEW to review 8 financial bids for integrated training building

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: The Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) has referred documents for eight financial bids to companies competing for the tender to establish an integrated training building to study them and submit recommendations within 30 days, say sources from Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy. Sources said this project is in line with the ministry’s plan to develop the technical and administrative skills of its employees in various fields of work. Sources disclosed the project has been included in the ministry’s plan for more than 10 years and has not seen the light till date, affirming the process of offering the tender and conducting a technical study are underway.

Sources explained that establishing a training center equipped with the latest technologies, along with multi-use training halls, areas for practical tests and other facilities will provide trainees with the knowledge and skills that are in line with the latest developments in the fields of electricity, water and renewable energy. They pointed out that according to the technical specifications in the tender documents, the building will have all the elements that ensure an integrated educational environment like the latest technologies in the field of digital training and practical simulation. They said the project includes designing the building in line with environmental and sustainability standards. Sources added the winning company will be determined based on the technical and financial criteria stated in the tender documents, stressing that the project is part of a series of initiatives through which the ministry aims to raise the level of professional and technical efficiency of employees in the sector and enhance their ability to face future challenges in the fields of electricity and renewable energy.
