MEW warns of power outages as maintenance work begins

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 5: The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy has announced that maintenance work commences today, Saturday, at several secondary transformer stations across the six governorates. This work is scheduled to continue until October 12 and will lead to power outages in various areas, as outlined in the maintenance schedule.

In a statement posted on its official account on the (X) platform, the ministry indicated that maintenance activities will begin at eight in the morning and are expected to last for four hours, though this duration may vary based on the nature and conditions of the work. The ministry expressed gratitude to customers for their understanding and cooperation during the outage period.

The ministry also urged everyone to consult the maintenance schedule for specific details regarding the affected areas.

The maintenance areas, dates, and corresponding power outages are as follows:

Saturday, October 5:

Qibla Block 1; Al Adan Block 3; Taima Block 7; Khaitan Block 6; North Farwaniya Block 1; East Hawalli Block 11 and Al Siddiq Block 1

Sunday, October 6:
