KUWAIT CITY, Dec 12 : Kuwait’s Meteorological Department has predicted moderate weather conditions for the weekend, with daytime temperatures remaining pleasant and cooler temperatures expected at night. Acting Director Dharar Al-Ali informed KUNA that the country is currently experiencing the effects of a shallow low-pressure system, which is gradually weakening, allowing a high-pressure system to move in.

On Friday, the weather is expected to be warm and partly cloudy, with southerly to southeasterly winds blowing at light to moderate speeds of 12 to 35 km/h. Maximum temperatures are forecasted to range between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius, with wave heights in the sea reaching between 1 and 4 feet. As night falls on Friday, temperatures will drop to cool or cold levels, with minimums expected between 8 and 12 degrees Celsius. Winds will shift to southeasterly and northwesterly at 12 to 32 km/h speeds, while sea conditions will remain light to moderate with waves between 2 and 4 feet.

On Saturday, moderate weather is anticipated with northwesterly winds blowing at speeds of 12 to 45 km/h, potentially raising dust in exposed areas.

Maximum temperatures are projected to be between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius, with sea waves increasing to between 2 and 6 feet. Saturday night will see cooler conditions as well, with minimum temperatures ranging from 6 to 9 degrees Celsius. Northwesterly winds will continue at light to moderate speeds of 8 to 40 km/h, while the sea remains light to moderate with waves rising between 2 and 6 feet (KUNA)
