KUWAIT CITY, Sept 9: Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi reaffirmed his commitment to fully supporting the Kuwaiti team in its journey through the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. He aims to help the team meet the expectations of loyal fans and restore Kuwait's legacy of sporting achievements.

During his visit to the team's training session at Thamer Stadium, Al-Mutairi expressed confidence in the players' ability to perform at a high level in the qualifiers. He highlighted the significance of the team's strong start in the tournament, viewing it as a critical momentum booster for securing positive results in upcoming matches.

Al-Mutairi emphasized the Kuwaiti youth's determination and spirit, which were key in its qualification for the 2027 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia. He expressed full confidence in the team's capability to deliver impressive results in the qualifiers, urging the players to give their best for the nation and its passionate fans. The Minister praised the efforts of the Kuwait Football Association, and its administrative and technical teams, for their excellent preparation of the squad. The visit was attended by key figures, including Kuwait Football Association Chairman Haif Al-Mutairi, Vice Chairman Ahmed Aqla, and board members Jamal Al-Otaibi, Abdulaziz Al-Samhan, and Secretary-General Salah Al-Qanaei. Chairman Haif Al-Mutairi echoed the confidence of the Kuwaiti fans in the team's ability to continue their strong performances in the World Cup qualifiers, urging the players to give their all in the match against Iraq.

Team captain Ahmed Al-Dhafiri, who played a key role in the win against Jordan, also affirmed the players' determination to rise to the occasion and perform at their best.
