KUWAIT CITY, July 4: Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi emphasized the critical need for a balanced distribution of medical staff to ensure integrated and high-quality healthcare across all hospitals. He underscored the importance of deploying newly graduated doctors to various departments and ensuring they receive thorough training to deliver optimal healthcare services.
The Minister convened with the Internal Medicine Departments Council in the presence of Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Council Head Dr. Muhammad Al-Jarallah, and heads of internal medicine departments from hospitals nationwide. This meeting was part of a broader initiative by the Minister and Undersecretary to engage with technical department councils across different medical specialties.
Discussions during the meeting addressed several challenges confronting internal medicine departments, including the coordination among departments and hospitals to enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to patients. Plans to streamline the operations of internal medicine departments were also deliberated, aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness in healthcare delivery.
Additionally, attention was given to enhancing the hospital shift system to ensure continuous and comprehensive patient care throughout the day. The optimization of outpatient clinic hours to better accommodate patient needs and ensure accessibility to medical care at convenient times was also discussed.
Minister Al-Awadhi commended the efforts of internal medicine departments across hospitals, emphasizing the importance of sustained cooperation and coordination among all departments to achieve healthcare goals and enhance services for citizens and residents.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to ongoing collaboration and strategic planning to further advance healthcare delivery across the country's hospitals.
