Dr. Noura Al-Mishaan inspects the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge project and surrounding roads.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, conducted an inspection tour of the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge project, which includes the Sabah Al-Nasser intersection, Kabd Road, and the Sixth Ring Road. The visit aimed to review the latest developments on the project, which has been underway after a 12-year hiatus.

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Monday, Minister Al-Mashaan explained that the inspection was part of the Ministry of Public Works' efforts to enhance infrastructure, following directives from His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister's instructions emphasize the importance of field tours and inspection visits by ministers and the need for continuous cooperation and coordination among government agencies to unify efforts and accelerate the implementation of strategic development projects.

Minister Al-Mashaan highlighted the urgency of completing the project within the specified time frame and according to the contract. She urged those responsible for the project to increase equipment and labor to meet deadlines. She also noted that field and inspection visits are crucial for ensuring the safety of vital projects and infrastructure.

The Minister stressed the importance of monitoring the condition of the bridge and performing necessary maintenance to ensure the safety of the public and surrounding roads. This is aimed at improving road and transportation services and ensuring their sustainability for the benefit of citizens.

Additionally, Minister Al-Mashaan pointed out that the completion of the bridge project, which connects the Sabah Al-Nasser area to Al-Sulaibiya Road 604, will resolve previous issues related to water accumulation, particularly during the winter and rainy seasons.
