KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: The Minister of Social Affairs, Minister of State for Family and Childhood Affairs, and acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Firas Al-Malik says the Makshat-2 project is an extension of the idea that was introduced last year. During the opening of the Makshat-2 project yesterday afternoon on the northern island of Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge in the presence of the head of the Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies and several officials from the ministry, the minister highlighted the participation of many small and medium enterprise owners in the project in addition to social assistance recipients in the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Sheikh Firas affirmed that the role of the ministry is educational, social and tourism, adding that the project aims to create an outlet for families with the participation of government agencies to organize various activities in the project. He expressed his happiness with what he saw in the completion of this project and expressed gratitude to all those who participated in the project, including young people and government agency employees for providing many recreational activities in the project, which is a new and distinguished addition to existing projects in Kuwait. Meanwhile, the acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs Abdulaziz Al-Mutairi affirmed that the implementation of the project was the result of the efforts of a specialized work team and the Cooperative Projects Committee. He explained that the committee’s goal is to serve citizens and shareholders in cooperative societies and keep pace with government ideas in increasing entertainment and tourism points in Kuwait.

This was done last year in Makshat-1 and now in Makshat-2 in a larger area and with multiple, more involved activities. The Makshat project is one of the projects of the Cooperative Projects Committee, which includes the establishment of hospitals and many health activities that serve all government agencies. It is an entertainment project in Kuwait that represents the heritage of the desert and the people of the sea in a modern way to diversify activities to satisfy the tastes of young and old citizens. He revealed that he receives pioneers daily throughout the week from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, adding that the opening took place through the efforts of the work team and the Cooperative Projects Committee.
