KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18, (Agencies): The Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research, Dr. Adel Al-Manea, issued a decision to activate the use of remote learning tools available to teachers, students, and staff through Microsoft's 365 Office Teams. These tools facilitate communication between students and teachers.

In his decision, Al-Manea emphasized that this activation is essential for communication between teachers and students. It includes the submission of daily assignments, research papers, reports, virtual classes, uploading work papers, enrichment lessons, electronic content, and other available educational resources.

The decision also instructs the General Education Sector to ensure that student data in the student record system is regularly updated. It includes inputting the class schedule and distributing students to their respective classes. Furthermore, the decision mandates verifying teacher data. In cases where teacher data is missing in the system, schools are required to contact the educational district to complete the process of assigning teachers to the appropriate center in the teacher's record system under the relevant authority, ensuring their names appear in the school's records. Teachers are also directed to update their information directly in the student record system to guarantee the presence of their data in Teams.

The decision strongly emphasizes the commitment to not disrupt education for any reason, especially with the presence of e-learning. It calls for the activation of remote learning tools by assigning weekly home activities, one day per week, with the school administration determining the selected subjects and the nature of the home activity. This directive will be closely monitored by the school administration to ensure the development of the educational process.
