KUWAIT CITY, April 9: The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy has announced that power cuts may be necessary in certain industrial and agricultural areas due to high electrical loads, alongside ongoing maintenance work on several power generation units. This maintenance is part of preparations for full operation during the summer. The power interruptions are being implemented to ensure the stability of the country’s electrical system.
In a statement, the ministry outlined the areas that may be affected by the power cuts. The industrial areas include Abdullah Port, Subhan, Sulaibiya, Al-Rai, and Shuwaikh. The agricultural areas at risk are Rawdatain, Wafra, and Abdali.
The ministry also emphasized that in the event of a power outage, the duration will not exceed three hours. Additionally, the ministry is continuously monitoring electrical loads to manage the situation effectively.
