Ministry confirms Freshwater quality monitoring across Kuwait.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy has confirmed that the quality of freshwater pumped into the national network is continuously monitored through emergency centers located in each of the country's six governorates. This statement comes in response to complaints from residents in Jahra Governorate regarding a change in the color of their fresh water supply.

The Ministry reported that several water samples from various areas in Jahra Governorate were collected and examined. The tests confirmed that the water remains safe for consumption. The Ministry emphasized its commitment to periodic maintenance of the water network to ensure the highest water quality standards.

The discoloration issue was attributed to a malfunction at water stations in certain areas of Jahra Governorate, which caused sedimentation and a change in water color from Monday evening until Tuesday morning.

A responsible source from the Ministry informed Al-Qabas that specialized teams are actively working to resolve the defect and restore normal water quality in the affected areas.
