Ministry Finalizes Reappointment of 200 Women with Revoked Citizenship

KUWAIT CITY, April 21: The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy has confirmed that the ministry, through its Administrative Affairs Sector, has completed the appointment procedures for approximately 200 female employees whose Kuwaiti citizenships were previously revoked. These appointments are being made under service contracts, under employment terms set by the Civil Service Bureau and based on a Cabinet decision.

The sources clarified that once the women finalize the necessary steps, such as obtaining clearance certificates, they will be reappointed under these contracts. The Civil Service Bureau had earlier informed government entities that eligible individuals would receive a comprehensive monthly bonus equal to the last full salary they were receiving before their citizenship was withdrawn. The Bureau must be consulted before finalizing these contracts, which may be renewed subject to its approval, and in alignment with the directives of the Central Agency for Bedoun (Stateless) Affairs.
