KUWAIT CITY, July 23: The Ministry of Education has announced a requirement for 1,600 male and female teachers to address shortages in educational institutions for the 2024/2025 academic year. Despite the shortage, sources assure that the situation is under control and does not warrant concern.

According to educational sources, a significant number of teachers, both Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti, were appointed at the end of the current academic year. Additionally, many more are in the process of being appointed for the new academic year. The final group of external contracts for Jordanian teachers is expected to arrive in August. Several applicants are in the final stages of their appointment, set to complete medical procedures by the end of next month, and commence their duties through a training course for new teachers.

The Ministry is also focused on filling supervisory positions, with announcements expected next month following the end of the application period. The Ministry's leadership emphasizes its commitment to ensuring the stability of the educational system and filling all vacancies before the start of the new academic year.
