KUWAIT CITY, Dec 12: A security and traffic campaign conducted by the Ministry of Interior on Thursday resulted in the issuance of 1,180 traffic violations.
The Ministry stated that the campaign was carried out following the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, aimed at enhancing security and maintaining order in the country. The operation, which took place at dawn on Thursday, involved multiple field sectors, including the General Traffic Department, the General Department of Rescue Police, the Public Security Sector, and the Private Security Sector.
The results of the campaign included:
The arrest of one individual wanted for absconding
The arrest of four individuals with active arrest warrants
The detention of six individuals violating residence and labor laws
The seizure of eight vehicles wanted by the judiciary
The impounding of 12 vehicles and bicycles for traffic violations
Six individuals referred to the Juvenile Investigations Department
The arrest of two individuals in possession of narcotics and two others in an abnormal state
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that such campaigns are part of a broader strategy aimed at boosting security and continue to target violators and wanted individuals in order to ensure a safe and stable environment across the country.
