Massive Security Sweep Nets 1,772 Traffic Violations and 89 Arrests Across Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24: The Ministry of Interior’s field sectors conducted a comprehensive security and traffic campaign on the main highways early Thursday, October 24, 2024. The operation, which targeted violators and lawbreakers, resulted in the issuance of 1,772 traffic violations.

In addition to the traffic offenses, the campaign led to the seizure of three drug-related cases and the arrest of seven individuals found in an abnormal state. Authorities also apprehended 28 individuals wanted under arrest warrants, 18 people reported missing, and 31 individuals with expired residency permits. Furthermore, five vehicles and motorcycles were impounded for traffic violations, while 14 vehicles were wanted in connection with pending cases.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that this campaign is part of its continued efforts to maintain security and stability in the country. The Ministry also urged citizens and residents to cooperate with law enforcement and report any violations or suspicious activity by contacting the emergency hotline at 112.
