Ministry of Interior responds to 400 calls amid recent rain

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27: The Ministry of Interior's operations room reported receiving approximately 400 calls during the recent rain, addressing issues ranging from traffic jams and accidents to disturbances caused by reckless individuals who misused school parking lots, associations, and public squares.

According to security sources, the Ministry has implemented a comprehensive plan since early Saturday morning to address the rain-related challenges. This plan includes coordination with relevant authorities and the deployment of around 300 traffic, rescue, and public security patrols in response to forecasts from the Meteorology Department.

The sources noted that areas with significant rainfall have seen increased security presence, with traffic and rescue patrols actively monitoring the situation. The operations room of the Ministry of Interior and the Civil Defense Department are fully equipped to manage rain-related incidents and mitigate traffic congestion.

In light of the weather conditions, security sources urged citizens and residents to exercise caution while driving, adhere to posted speed limits, and refrain from using mobile phones to ensure their safety.
