Ministry of Social Affairs investigates legal violations in Cooperative Societies

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 2: The Ministry of Social Affairs confirmed today, Monday, that it will take all necessary legal measures against any parties found to be involved in legal violations within cooperative societies or in the supply chains connected to them.

In a press statement, the ministry stated that it is currently investigating a complaint filed by a citizen concerning the fruit and vegetable branches. The relevant authorities are closely monitoring the matter to verify the validity of the complaint.

These actions are being taken under the directives of Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, who emphasized the importance of addressing these issues seriously and ensuring the integrity of operations within cooperative societies.

The ministry explained that it is working in coordination with regulatory authorities to verify the accuracy of the complaint, and reiterated its commitment to taking all necessary steps to safeguard the interests of cooperative societies and their shareholders.

Additionally, the ministry is working to establish a joint committee involving relevant government agencies to enhance oversight of this vital sector. The aim is to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, protect consumer rights, and promote transparency.
