Power interruptions across 6 governorates loom till Nov 9

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: The Ministry of Electricity and Water on Saturday began a week-long maintenance project on transformers across Kuwait’s six governorates, potentially leading to power interruptions in several neighborhoods between 8:00 am and noon each day until Nov 9, reports Al-Seyassah daily. In a proactive announcement, the Ministry outlined which areas will experience these temporary power cuts as crews work to ensure the reliability and efficiency of Kuwait’s electrical infrastructure.

The affected areas include:

Saturday, Nov 2: Residents in Al- Rehab, Yarmouk, Saad Al-Abdullah, Jaber Al-Ahmad, Qadisiya, Rumaithiya, and Salmiya should prepare for possible outages as maintenance begins.

Sunday, Nov 3: Planned maintenance that will impact the areas include Fahad Al-Ahmad, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Yarmouk, Jaber Al-Ahmad, Saad Al- Abdullah, Al-Qusour, Mubarak Al- Kabeer and Salwa.

Monday, Nov 4: Outages may occur in the following areas -- Fahad Al-Ahmad, Yarmouk, Jaber Al-Ahmad, Saad Al-Abdullah, Al-Qusour, Mubarak Al- Kabeer, Al-Qadisiyah, Doha, Salwa and Rumaithiya. Tuesday,

November 5: Power interruptions are expected in Fahad Al-Ahmad, Yarmouk, Jaber Al-Ahmad, Saad Al- Abdullah, Al-Qusour, Mubarak Al-Kabeer, Al-Qadisiyah, Doha and Salmiya. Wednesday,

Nov 6: Power disruptions include Fahad Al-Ahmad, Yarmouk, Saad Al-Abdullah, Al-Qusour, Mubarak Al-Kabeer, Al-Qadisiyah, Al- Qairawan and Rumaithiya.

Thursday, Nov 7: Power outages are likely in following areas -- Fahad Al-Ahmad, Yarmouk, Al-Adan, Mubarak Al-Kabeer, Al-Faiha, Al- Qairawan, and Salmiya.

Friday, Nov 8: The affected areas will include Jaber Al-Ahmad, Al- Shamiya and Doha. Saturday,

Nov 9: The final day of work will impact Jaber Al-Ahmad, Saad Al-Abdullah, Al-Ardhiya, Al- Shamiya and Al-Qairawan.

The residents in these areas are requested to plan accordingly and take necessary precautions. The Ministry has expressed appreciation for the public’s patience and understanding as it works to enhance the reliability of electrical services.
