KUWAIT CITY, Dec 31: In a shocking incident, a minor girl had a distressing encounter near the Darbar mini-supermarket in Salmiya Block 10, raising concerns about safety in the area. The incident unfolded as the victim was approached by a stalker who aggressively sought her phone number.

The unsettling incident occurred when the man, initially asking in Arabic, switched to English after being ignored. Despite the victim firmly declining his request, the situation escalated when the man followed her after leaving the mini supermarket. With the discomfort intensifying, the victim skillfully evaded entering her building, avoiding a potential confrontation in the elevator.

The situation took a disturbing turn when the stalker continued to pursue her, repeatedly asking for her number. Faced with an escalating threat, the victim resorted to taking a video of the stalker, demanding an explanation for his intrusive behavior. This prompted the stalker to flee the scene, leaving the victim shaken by the unnerving encounter.

The gravity of the situation is emphasized by the fact that the video was captured just below the victim's building. Despite efforts to gather evidence from nearby security cameras, both at the mini supermarket and in the victim's building, no footage was available.

In a bid to identify the stalker, the victim has handed over the video to Arab Times for awareness, including Harris. Unfortunately, the security cameras at the supermarket and the victim's building were non-functional, leaving a potential gap in tracking the suspect's movements. The hope now lies in the possibility of obtaining crucial footage from the security cameras at Don Bosco School, located in the vicinity. The dark alleys behind the school could be the key to tracing the suspect's escape route.
