MoCI & IBS introduce ‘certified real estate appraiser’ program

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 18: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Institute of Banking Studies have signed a memorandum of understanding to launch the ‘Certified Real Estate Appraiser’ program to enhance the qualifications of professionals in the real estate appraisal field in Kuwait, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Ziad Al-Najem, Undersecretary of the Ministry, stated that the program aligns with the real estate appraisal standards set by the ministry. Its goal is to improve the professional competence of real estate appraisers and strengthen the strategic role of the appraisal profession following these standards.

The program was developed in collaboration with local real estate appraisal experts and incorporates the latest scientific and practical methodologies. Al-Najem emphasized the importance of real estate valuation not only within the real estate sector but also in the banking sector. Accurate property valuation supports informed investment decisions, whether for buying or selling properties and aids individuals seeking home ownership.
