KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: The Meteorological Department anticipates a moderate and partly cloudy weekend weather forecast with a tendency for cool to cold conditions at night, accompanied by the possibility of scattered rain, occasionally thundery. Director of the Department, Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi, informed Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather indicators and numerical models suggest the country is under the influence of a surface depression extension coinciding with an upper atmosphere cold air depression. This situation is causing the proliferation of low and medium clouds, interspersed with cumulonimbus clouds.
Al-Qarawi noted the likelihood of scattered light to moderate rain, occasionally thundery in specific areas, along with possible fog formation, reduced horizontal visibility, and sea waves rising to more than 6 feet. Today’s weather, Thursday, is expected to be moderate and cloudy with variable winds shifting to the northeasterly direction. Wind speeds will be light to moderate, occasionally active at 8 to 40 kilometers per hour, with a chance of scattered light rain, possibly thundery at times. Maximum temperatures are forecasted between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius, and the sea conditions will be light to moderate, with waves occasionally reaching heights of 2 to 6 feet.
