KUWAIT CITY, May 9: Ministry of Education has denied reports about the leaked high-school final exam question papers, affirming that the mechanism of printing and storing the question papers is based on secure standards, reports Al-Anba daily. According to sources close the ministry, reports about the leaked exam papers and sale of answers one day before the examination date have been circulating on social media. However, such reports as false, as the exam papers are in secure and trustworthy hands, and there is no reason for worrying. Regarding preparations for the educational zones, Director of the Capital Educational Zone Badriya Al-Khaled revealed about a plan in place to create ideal exam atmosphere for students who are taking their final high school exams. Similar preparations are in place in Hawally Educational Zone where its director Mansour Al-Dhufairi is due to meet with the principals of the schools that will be used as examination centers. He will give necessary directives and guidelines for ensuring the success of this year’s final exams for the high schools governed by Ministry of Education. Meanwhile, Undersecretary of Public Education Fatmah Al-Kandari informed the directors of all educational zones in the country to designate one high school in each educational zone as the headquarters for providing tutoring services in preparation for the final exams, which are due to begin this Thursday, May 14. However, sources said the process of opening schools in the evening for tutoring purposes requires an official decision, and that will need referral to the rules and conditions set by the Civil Service Commission in this regard. In addition, Undersecretary of Ministry of Education Dr Haitham Al-Atari issued a decision concerning the school timings of the next academic year. He said schools for all levels will start at 7:30 am.
