MoH announces tender for 200 ambulances, hospital upgrades

KUWAIT CITY, April 6: The Ministry of Health has announced its plan to float a tender for the supply of 200 new ambulances in fiscal 2025/2026 to develop the medical emergency fleet. The ministry also published an announcement in the Official Gazette (Kuwait Al- Youm) about several tenders for the development of electronic systems in hospitals, provision of medical services, and expansion of medical facilities. According to the ministry, these tenders are as follows:

Updating the electronic records system at Jaber Hospital, Farwaniya Hospital, Jahra Hospital, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, and Kuwait Cancer Control Center;
Provision of specialists to develop and support the health and administrative systems;
Provision of technical support services for servers and networks of the Information Systems Department and the main operations room at the ministry;
Construction, completion and maintenance of various primary healthcare centers, including a specialized dental center in Adan, a health center in Abdullah Al-Mubarak (Block Six), a center in Sabah Al-Salem North (Block 10), a health center in Saad Al-Abdullah (Block Five), and the Manara Center for Mental Health;
Maintenance, construction and minor expansion of nine buildings, hospitals and centers;
Replacement of central water-cooled chillers and their accessories at the post office station in Amiri Hospital;
Supply and installation of emergency generators and their accessories for various locations in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Health District;
Completion of the kitchen building at Farwaniya Hospital;
Increase the cost of the new Amiri Hospital switchboard and connection of its annex buildings to a unified central communications system;
Supply, installation, operation and maintenance of the nurses’ call system at Jaber Hospital;
10 tenders for the purchase of medicines and medical supplies.
