KUWAIT CITY, March 16:  The Ministry of Health (MoH) announced that it is providing field services in mosques and prayer areas with high population density as part of its Ramadan plan, which was launched on the first day of the holy month. The goal of this plan is to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all worshippers.

Dr. Ahmad Al-Shatti, Director of the Medical Emergency Department at the Ministry, stated in a press release on Saturday that medical teams and ambulance crews are working around the clock. He added that 23 fully equipped medical clinics have been set up, each with ambulances and paramedics, both male and female, ready to respond to any emergencies. These clinics have been organized into male and female sections to provide efficient and comfortable medical services for all.

Al-Shatti emphasized the importance of following health guidelines to ensure the comfort and safety of worshippers. He explained that drinking water regularly between iftar and suhoor helps prevent dehydration and fatigue during prayers, especially when standing for long periods. He also advised worshippers to avoid overeating before prayers, as it can lead to lethargy and digestive issues, which may affect concentration and comfort during worship.

He pointed out the importance of being mindful of traffic safety when traveling to and from mosques, particularly during rush hour. Al-Shatti urged worshippers to cooperate and facilitate the movement of others when entering and exiting mosques, especially on crowded nights, to ensure the safety of everyone, particularly children and the elderly.

He also stressed that individuals with chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease should adhere to their medication schedules and avoid neglecting their treatment to prevent any health complications during prayers.

Al-Shatti expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all medical emergency teams working during the holy month. He praised their tireless efforts in serving worshippers and prayed for the acceptance of everyone’s fasting and prayers, as well as for the protection of the country and its people.
