FROM the time King Mohammad VI came to power 25 years ago, the Kingdom of Morocco has been realizing achievements under his leadership, as he had taken it upon himself to modernize the country and build a state that is capable of overcoming any challenges it might encounter.

His Royal Highness King Mohammad VI has successfully revitalized his country’s relations with its African neighbors, and effectively addressed the obstacles imposed by regional powers.

His conviction has been based on the fact that his country’s strategic location and diverse nature makes it the golden gateway to the African continent and the compass in the transformation of the continent of Africa, which suffered greatly for centuries. The time has now come for it to rise.

Despite his youth and the significant political and economic changes occuring at that time, King Mohammed VI successfully preserved the traditions of the Alaouite Dynasty, which has been in place since 1631. As the Commander of the Faithful, he realized the difficulties of his role through the Islamic legacy, and worked diligently to establish justice within his kingdom.

He also sought to ensure justice and fairness among the diverse social components of Moroccan society.

King Mohammed VI became an icon of civilization and progress in education, based on his belief that advancing education is key to societal development. The Moroccan elite worldwide exemplify this commitment, because they became an intellectual force to be reckoned with in all aspects.

Every year, on the occasion of the Throne Day, King Mohammad VI promises his people more achievements - a promise that he always fulfills. He even follows up the procedures and the rate of achievement on the field, offering constructive criticisms regarding the shortcomings, and inspiring his people to give more for their country. This is why the King visits about 50 major Moroccan cities every year, because his main focus is to modernize all parts of the country.

Despite the wars and crises that the African and Arab countries went through such as the water-related conflicts, or the COVID-19 pandemic, or conflict with neighbors based on misunderstanding, and other developments, the country was able to overcome all challenges, and excel once again in international relations.

It is said that creativity in administration is being able to choose the right people for the right role. This art is usually mastered by those who are dedicated to their countries.

In this regard, the Makhzen, under the directives of the king, chose assistants and national experts who work for the progress of their country in all sectors.

King Mohammed VI is never satisfied with just conducting field tours. Rather, he engages directly with people through open and transparent meetings. Over the past 25 years, his efforts have had a profoundly positive impact on Morocco, fostering a significant renaissance across all levels.

Fate has placed this young man at the helm of a country with a rich history of national solidarity between the royal palace and the people. This was proven during the liberation march and through the widespread support for the late King Mohammed V, who led the resistance against colonialism and secured the nation’s independence.

The Green March, led by the late King Hassan II, also demonstrated the strength and manifestations of national unity. Today, under King Mohammed VI, the country is experiencing a significant renaissance, built upon these solid foundations.

It goes without saying that the stability of the state is based on integrity of its administration, and the war on corruption which was waged by the King himself, is now bearing fruit.

That is why people have entrusted this difficult task to their King, who is supported by an elite group of members of the Moroccan ruling house, all dedicated to defending their country. This includes Crown Prince Hassan bin Mohammed, who has great stature, knowledge and intelligence.

That is why the celebration of the Throne Day this year has a special feature, as it coincides with the silver jubilee of King Mohammad VI’s reign.
