KUWAIT CITY, Nov 20: Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, part of the Ministry of Health, announced the successful treatment of 20 cases of vascular deformities within a span of three days at the Interventional Radiology and Vascular Surgery Department.
Dr. Buthaina Al-Kandari, Head of the Radiology Departments Council at the Ministry of Health, stated in a press release on Wednesday that this achievement is a significant milestone in the ministry’s services in Kuwait. She noted that vascular deformities are chronic conditions that often require long-term follow-up and management.
The patients were treated at Mubarak Hospital's Vascular Deformities Clinic, which was established in 2022. The clinic handles various types of vascular deformities and complications, from the head to the feet. The treatments were carried out using non-surgical methods, including catheterization and injections, enabling all patients to be discharged within 24 hours.
Dr. Al-Kandari emphasized that the clinic has grown to include specialists from plastic surgery, pediatric surgery, and other fields, enabling comprehensive care for a wide range of vascular issues.
Dr. Moudi Al-Mutairi, Head of the Medical Authority at Mubarak Hospital, confirmed the Ministry's commitment to providing top-tier medical services, focusing on patient comfort and safety. She stressed that the ministry is dedicated to enhancing healthcare competencies and fostering national talent, a central goal in the Ministry’s efforts to improve patient care and alleviate suffering.
