KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital held an event as part of October month focused on raising awareness about breast cancer, marked by the slogan of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event was attended by Sheikha Awrad Al-Jaber, Dr. Mona Abdul Samad, Director of the Hawalli Health District, along with several doctors, specialists, and an audience of interested participants.

During the event, Dr. Mona Abdul Samad emphasized the importance of breast cancer awareness in society, stating that such initiatives help foster a culture of early detection, which significantly improves recovery rates. She also commended the Ministry of Health's efforts in promoting awareness and encouraging regular check-ups. Dr. Abdul Samad noted that ongoing awareness campaigns have resulted in a notable increase in the number of women undergoing early screenings in Kuwait, which has contributed to a decline in late diagnoses.
