Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mishaan and Head of the Volunteer Work Center Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah during the inspection tour of the Mubarakiya Market reconstruction.

KUWAIT CITY, July 29: Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, Dr. Noura Al-Mishaan, conducted an inspection tour of the Mubarakiya Market reconstruction project on Monday. She was accompanied by the Head of the Volunteer Work Center, Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to assess the latest developments.

During the visit, Minister Al-Mishaan stated that the inspection aimed to review the progress of the reconstruction efforts, which have commenced with the excavation work for the infrastructure. This phase is being carried out in coordination with the Kuwait Municipality, which has issued the necessary demolition and construction permits.

Minister Al-Mishaan noted that the project is expected to be completed within 13 months.

Engineer Hassan Al-Kandari, head of the reconstruction team for damaged buildings, confirmed that the project is in its early stages. He highlighted that the initial phase involves overcoming previous obstacles with the cooperation of relevant state agencies.

Al-Kandari elaborated that the project includes several archaeological and historical buildings that will be transformed into a museum, showcasing the architectural history of the Mubarakiya area. This transformation aims to make the site a prominent destination for tourists and visitors.
