A Municipality official issues a violation.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 4: The Public Relations Department of the Municipality announced the commencement of inspection tours by the central team, starting with the Mubarakiya markets. These inspections aim to ensure that shop and restaurant owners comply with the municipality’s regulations and systems.

Yousef Al-Fajji, head of the central inspection team, stated that these field tours will intensify, covering shops and advertisements in Mubarakiya markets and other markets across the governorates.

The initial round of inspections identified several violations, including failure to renew advertisement licenses, unauthorized use of spaces, and safety violations for non-compliance with municipal regulations and laws.

Al-Fajji urged business owners to renew all types of licenses promptly to avoid penalties. He highlighted the importance of adhering to updated regulations regarding advertisements, road usage, and market occupations, noting that increased penalties and fines aim to prevent violations and protect the public interest.
