KUWAIT CITY, Aug 6: Kuwait Municipality Director General Eng. Saud Al-Dabbous had earlier issued an administrative decision to stop the payment of shift allowance, shift bonus and food allowance to 479 inspectors, engineers and administrators in the Municipality; prompting several of those affected by the decision to submit a petition against the decision.

The source stated that about 150 of the affected employees are planning to submit a joint petition against the decision; stressing they are entitled to the abovementioned benefits as per the related documents, especially the inspectors in supervisory and engineering departments. The source pointed out that about KD200 will be deducted from the financial package of some employees due to the decision; indicating this will affect the work mechanism, considering there have been many transfer requests and reluctance to work in certain departments.
