KUWAIT CITY, April 22: A field campaign by the Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Department of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipality resulted in the removal of 33 abandoned and scrap vehicles, mobile grocery stores, and illegal commercial containers. During the campaign, 38 citations on violations related to public hygiene and road obstructions and 59 warning stickers for pending violations were issued. Also, 37 old garbage containers were replaced with new ones.
Meanwhile, in accordance with the directive of Kuwait Municipality Director General Eng. Manal Al-Asfour to Director of the Public Sanitation and Road Works Department Saad Al-Khurainj; Public Sanitation Supervisor Dr. Mubarak Al-Mujawb instructed the Fahaheel Cleaning Center to intensify oversight of cleanliness efforts in the area. Under the leadership of Fahaheel Cleaning Center Supervisor Mohammad Qunais Al-Hajri, and with the support of the supervisory team -- represented by Shift C Head Mohammad Faleh Al-Azmi and Inspectors Ahmad Eid, Nasser Rashid, Faleh Arshid and Turki Ahmed -- an intensive inspection campaign was launched on Friday.
The campaign focused on abandoned vehicles in residential and commercial areas, as well as monitoring the activities of marginal workers. As a result, seven abandoned cars were impounded, 21 warning stickers were issued, two violations were recorded, seven pledges were obtained, and nine marginal workers were referred to Fahaheel Police Station. The Municipality has affirmed the continuation of these inspection campaigns to enhance public cleanliness and eliminate all related violations in the area.
