Subletting of camping sites is strictly forbidden

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 31: Faisal Al-Otaibi, head of the Camps Committee at Kuwait Municipality, has announced the formation of a specialized team to monitor advertisements and activities related to the subletting or commercial exploitation of spring camps. Al-Otaibi confirmed that this team, in collaboration with the Environmental Police and the Public Environment Authority, will conduct field inspections to ensure that camp owners comply with the set regulations and requirements. He emphasized that current regulations strictly prohibit subletting and any form of commercial activity within spring camps. Violations will result in immediate penalties, including license cancellation, camp removal at the violator’s expense, and confiscation of insurance. The municipality issues camping licenses to individuals, not companies, underscoring the intended private use of these camps. Al-Otaibi added that livestock rearing is also strictly forbidden in spring camps. The municipality is coordinating with the Public Authority for Agriculture and Animal Resources to enforce this rule.
