KUWAIT CITY, July 28: In his first statement following his appointment as head of the central team under the Director General of the Municipality, Yousef Al-Fajji announced a series of priorities the team will address in the coming period. These priorities include cleanliness, building violations, encroachments on state property, and ensuring security and safety.

Al-Fajji shared with Al-Rai that the team will initially focus on existing illegal canopies in investment and commercial areas, particularly those near electricity transformers and government building walls. He emphasized that one of the Minister of Municipality Noura Al-Mishaan's directives is to address the reopening of basements used as warehouses and to inspect and regulate the existing and rented hangars in investment housing.

A comprehensive plan has been developed to track violators, in coordination with relevant state authorities, especially the Ministry of Interior, to provide ongoing security support during field campaigns. Al-Fajji highlighted that the team would comprise 35 members tasked with inspecting and touring various regions to follow up on complaints received by the Director General's Office. The central team includes 11 main members and 24 sub-members from governorate branches.

The director of each governorate branch will nominate four employees from different departments to join the central team. These members will perform their tasks from their offices, focusing on the central team's complaints.

Al-Fajji stressed that all public dealings would adhere strictly to the law and regulations, without exception or discrimination. Reports submitted by sub-teams to the central team will include photos and videos to verify violations and eliminate any possibility of malice.

The team will hold weekly meetings to review their progress and distribute complaints according to each member's specialization.
