Murtajih leads the pack at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governor's Cup

Sheikh Sabah Al-Nasser presents a commemorative shield to Sheikha Fajr Badr Al-Sabah.

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 18: The horse Murtajih from Al-Jaidiya Stable, trained by Salem Al-Jaidiya and ridden by jockey Igor, secured victory in the Sheikh Sabah Bader Al-Sabah Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governor's Cup for mixed horses. The race, part of the fifth round of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Club competitions, covered a distance of 1,600 meters, with Murtajih clocking a time of 1:40.57 minutes during the 16th meeting of the current sports season.

The Chairman of the Supreme Authority for Horse Racing and Secretary General of the Hunting and Equestrian Club, Sheikh Sabah Al-Nasser, alongside Sheikh Sabah Bader Al-Sabah, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governor, presented a commemorative shield to Sheikha Fajr Bader Al-Sabah.

In the sixth round, Perfect Sight from Al-Huwailah Stable, trained by Mohammed Mishaal Al-Huwailah and ridden by jockey Igor, claimed the late Naif Hamad Al-Dubos Cup for Thanaya horses. The horse completed the 1,600-meter race in 1:41.78 minutes.

Meanwhile, Al-Fahd, Lajmrah, Mabrouk, Muzaffar, and Ionin triumphed in their respective races. The Mubarak Al-Kabeer Club competitions continue at the Hunting and Equestrian Club.
